I’ve been locked out of Okta. What should I do?

If you’ve entered the wrong password too many times, Okta will lock you out. 😔

But fret not! You can unlock your account by following these steps:

  1. First, make sure you have Okta Verify set up on your mobile device. If you don’t, you will have to reach out to TechOps via Slack (if you have access) or email

  2. If you do have Okta Verify, simply click Unlock account? when you go to sign in with Okta
     

     

  3. Enter your username and select a verification method
     

     

  4. Authorise in your Okta Verify app, and your browser should automatically log you back in 😁
