Okta Deactivations - 23rd September 2024
We’re sorry that your account has been deactivated, and we’re working on identifying the root cause. We’ve thankfully managed to catch the issue before it affected more people but realise this is massively annoying for you!
Your account should now be reactivated and you’ll need to follow these instructions to regain access to Octopus systems:
You will have received a reactivation email to your personal email that you nominated when you joined - please follow the instructions in that email. You will be asked to reset your Okta password.
Please allow some time for your apps to all be reactivated. It can take up to 20 minutes for some apps.
Once your account has been activated, and if you’re still struggling to access certain apps then reach out to us in Slack in #temp-okta-deactivation-help or email us at techops-help@octopusenergy.group.
Your multifactor authentication (MFA) should not have been affected by this and you will still be able to use your existing MFA method to log into Okta.
Sorry for the faff and disruption to your Monday, we’ll be working hard to make sure this type of outage doesn’t happen in the future.
