I’m having issues logging into Okta. What should I do?

Sometimes we just can’t seem to get in. Keep in mind that if you can't remember your password, it's a good idea to contact us rather than repeatedly attempting to log in. Multiple unsuccessful login attempts can lead to your IP address being locked out, which is much more complicated to resolve! Before reaching out for assistance, however, please check the following:

  1. Ensure that your Okta username is your work email address, such as john.smith@octoenergy.com.

  2. Double-check that you've used dots (.) instead of commas (,) in your email address. Sometimes, it's easy to type octoenergy,com (with a comma) by mistake, which won't work. 😬

  3. Verify that you've correctly entered octoenergy.com or the last part of your email address (which could vary depending on your business unit).

  4. Make sure you're using your company email address, not your personal one.

  5. Check that you've entered your password correctly and that Caps Lock is off.
